Quarterly Women@SLAC ERG Meeting: Sarah Holder
June speaker will be our new Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Manager: Sarah Holder/Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Program Manager
Sarah helps to shape and lead our equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) strategy as an organization, including policies, procedures, and educational programming. This work includes working closely with SLAC's ERG leads and members in support of their goals for structural change and community building. Sarah is currently working on the completion of a Ph.D. in Higher Education from the University of Virginia. Her research focuses on inclusion and sense of belonging in STEM fields in college. She has a master's degree in education from Illinois State University, and a bachelor's degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is a lifelong learner and educator, and is passionate about helping people to know better so that they can do better. Like solar panels, she needs time outside in the sun to restore, and her favorite activities include running, hiking, and pretty much anything to do with the water.
