“Good Trouble: How to Lead Difficult Conversations at Work (and Beyond)”

Many of us at SLAC are more interested than ever in how to be effective allies in support of racial and social justice efforts. Being an ally and an upstander requires being able to have sometimes hard or uncomfortable conversations so that we can grow. However, people across the lab report that they don't always feel equipped to start these difficult conversations at work. This interactive session will help us to start building the skills necessary to "show up" as an ally at work, including a primer on basic language and concepts, how to counter resistance, the difference between a "safe" space and a "brave" space, and more.
