Mission Statement:

The Stanford-SLAC Cryo-EM Facility is equipped with three 300 kV and one 200 kV electron microscopes (FEI Krios and Talos-Arctica), with phase plates, energy filters, and direct electron detector technologies. The Facility also has necessary ancillary equipment for specimen preparation, such as for final steps of macromolecule purification, tissue culture lab, grid preparation and vitrification robots. We offer these facilities to the scientific community for end-stage specimen preparation, high-throughput data collection, and real-time data evaluation, either in-person or on-line via remote submission of vitrified grids. Our mission is to provide these services to collaborators and users who have important biological projects, but may not have access to adequate equipment in their home laboratories.

SLAC + Stanford Collaboration

SLAC Stanford Collaboration

Stanford University operates SLAC for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Science. We welcome thousands of scientists each year to do research at our world-class facilities. SLAC's strong and growing partnership with Stanford is a key factor in our success.
