Update on BL10-2 !
This will be the first of a series of occasional updates on progress with turning BL10-2 into a chemistry and catalysis XAS beamline. The first milestone that was reached this week that the rear hutch was emptied of its prior equipment, and we are now custodians! As you can see in the picture, the hutch is now empty (except for the few interlopers) and ready for the modifications.

Co-ACCESS collecting in-situ XAS data at SSRL again!
Exciting news! For the first time since shelter-in-place in early March we are now back at the beamline conducting in-situ/operando XAS experiments. On Oct 14th, we began experiments at beamline 9-3 under the strict COVID-19 protocols that are in place at SSRL/SLAC.

QXAS Workshop
Co-ACCESS will be organizing a workshop as part of the 2020 SSRL/LCLS Users meeting. The workshop will be held virtually on Monday October 5, 2020. The workshop is entitled “Opportunities in Chemistry & Catalysis Research Using Quick Scanning XAS”, and is jointly organized by Simon R Bare, Adam S Hoffman, and Oliver Mueller.
